What is Golf Conditioning?

Golf Conditioning is a program with a comprehensive set of exercises designed to improve the muscle groups and parts of the body required when golfing. Not only will participants realize longer drives and increased distance with their irons, they will also decrease their risk of injury in the parts of the body golfers most commonly injure, such as the back, elbows and wrists. Golf Conditioning is not about improving the swing, but about improving the fitness of the golfer behind the swing.

What are the components of the program?

There are two parts of the program. 1.) Flexibility and Stabilization 2.) Strength and Power. Part 1 is 13 Weeks and Part 2 is 20 weeks. Participants meet 2 times per week for 1 hour for specific exercises that build over time. In addition, they are given instruction on additional exercises to do on their own.

How does the program work?

The program utilizes specific exercises and stretches that increase flexibility and strengthen core muscle groups - which enable the golfer to achieve better shoulder turn, thus allowing a larger backswing, which increases club speed... resulting in more distance.

Who developed the program and who uses it?

The Golf Conditioning program was developed by Paul Chek, a world renowned exercise physiologist and founder of the C.H.E.K Institute, based in Vista, California. His conditioning ideologies are used by many professional athletes from a variety of sports including those in the PGA, LPGA, MLB, NHL and the NBA.

What does it cost?

Open to Members and Non-Members. Member Cost: $350 or (3 payments of $117).

Non-Member Cost: $450 or (3 payments of $150).
