DEAR SOUND FIT FAMILY,

As you know, we have decided to open on June 1st. In order for you to have access to the facility, billing will be resumed. If you do not feel it is safe for you to use the gym and need an additional month or two, I will be happy to freeze your account until August at your request.

We will be practicing social distancing and have implemented new protocols to help you stay safe while you workout. We will be limiting capacity to 25 members at any one time. You may have to wait for someone to leave before you have access and I thank you for your patience as we work through these new safety measures. We will be closing the facility from 10:30pm - 4:30am to allow time for us to clean and ensure the facility is sanitized.

OTHER MEASURES INCLUDE:

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES WILL BEGIN ON JUNE 8TH WITH LIMITED CAPACITY. YOU WILL NEED TO USE THE MEMBERME+ APP TO BOOK A SPOT FOR THE CLASS.

IF A MACHINE IS COVERED WITH A TOWEL, WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT USE IT IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN A SAFE DISTANCE FROM EACH OTHER.

WE WILL BE TAKING APPOINTMENTS FOR THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO SIGN UP FOR MEMBERSHIPS.

NO GUEST OR VISITOR PASSES AT THIS TIME.

Other questions you may have:

How will your club limit the number of people in the facility at one time to comply with social distancing requirements, and how will this be monitored and enforced?
Our doors will be kept locked with access to members only to limit foot traffic in the facility. You may be turned away if we are at the max capacity allowed in the facility at any one time. Our front desk staff will be monitoring during the day the number of members in the facility. Our max capacity is 25 members.

Will you reopen group or small group exercise with extreme social distancing?
We plan to begin group fitness classes on June 8th with class sizes limited to comply with the 10 person limit for groups. We will allow ample time between classes to allow cleaning and disinfecting of the equipment. Cycling classes will be limited to 5 participants. We remind everyone who has any symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat to refrain from taking classes at this time.

How will you enforce social distancing on cardio machines, in the free weight area, or other club locations such as locker rooms?
We ask members refrain from taking showers or changing in the locker room at this time. You will be able to use the restrooms, but the rest of the locker room will be closed. We have tape on the floor in the group fitness room to mark where participants will be at least 6 feet away from each other. Treadmills and other cardio machines will be marked every other one for use. Benches have been spaced 6 feet apart from each other.

How often will staff clean machines and surfaces? How will you clean group ex studios between classes? What cleaning products will they use for each?
We have enlisted professional advice from cleaning expert, Kate Moore, who is trained in COVID 19 sanitizing protocols to assist us in ensuring we are doing our best to continue to have the cleanest and safest environment for members. Staff will be wet wiping all touch points in the facility once per day with a hospital grade disinfectant (Quat 256). We will have the same disinfectant in the group ex room and a cleaning station set up to clean any equipment used in class. We have hand sanitizer and wipes for members to wipe down their equipment during their workout.

During this time, we ask members to bring their own yoga mats, straps, and blocks for use in yoga and other group classes that require such equipment. Blankets and towels will be available for use as we can launder them onsite.

If you are interested in joining our gym, please call 252-288-6105 weekdays between 8:30am and 6:00pm to set up an appointment time for membership application. We hope to make this process easy while limiting how many people are in the facility at one time.

Your health is our utmost priority. We recognize that we can not do this alone so we ask all our members to help by wiping down everything you touch and frequently washing your hands; especially before and after you workout.

We are so excited to see you all again!
In health -

Brooke and the Sound Fitness Staff
